ALFRED'S & REM'S MONTAGES

Koolhaas: I've always been uncomfortable with the notion of collage, because I've always been much more interested in the notion of montage, I think because the montage is basically the planning of a series of events or the planning of a series of visual or other episodes. Whether its stories or in a movie, or episodes in a painting. I think that collage is something that anybody can do but montage introduces an abstract strategic value... (image.
